Merrit Speedway

Okay, here's a pic of the three to blame for dragging me to the car race last night. I had managed all summer to avoid going...had a miserable experience at a different race track before and was in no hurry to return to one again! Anyhow, last night was the last race of the season, so I decided I would give it another chance......So, I decided I would just jump into the spirit of the event (notice the big cheesy grin and the thumbs up...really putting forth effort here!).
Also, take note that I am wearing a WHITE sweater to a DIRT racetrack...yeah, that choice really worked out well for me...har, har! :-P

Next you will see that in the spirit of the event I decided the only right thing to do would be to take in a delicate portion of the racetrack cuisine ;-)



It's a good thing I don't gamble...I have virtually no luck whatsoever! At the begining of each sprint/race we would each pick a car that we thought was going to win...well, pretty much every car I picked crashed :-Z

Ummmm...remember, I'm only doing this for the sake of being a "sport". I would never act this way or eat such things by my own choice ;-)

Notice the vice grip Oscar has on his bag of cotton candy...some people are so selfish ;-)

We got COVERED in like a tar/clay/dirt mixture. The pic doesn't really show it that well, but trust me, we were filthy!!

Notice the grime on the top of my cup...lovely!

These benches were actually clean when the race started, if that gives you an idea.

I actually did enjoy this race. Thankfully Dr. B. had brought an extra pair of ear plugs or else the night probably would not have gone so well...it was LOUD!!
