Christmas Eve was a hectic day from the start! I was up by 6:30 to finish wrapping presents, baking stuff for holiday meals, and packing for the trip downstate. By 4:30 we were at the in-laws and my M-I-L had to work till after 6:00, so Joslyn and I got everything ready so that we could eat as soon as she came home. After opening presents, we hit the road about 9:30...in rather nasty driving conditions! I took over driving at 11:30 and reached our destination (my sister, Betsy's house) at 12:40 a.m.
